Crystal Allen was sentenced to 20 years in jail—she must repay $260,000 to a College Station woman after defrauding her.

College Station’s Parks and Recreation Department will begin an after-school program on Aug.

13 at the Lincoln Recreation Center for students ages 6 to 15 where they can receive homework help, tutoring and play sports and games. The program runs weekdays from 3 to 6 p.m. until Dec. 19 (costs are $80 for residents, $100 for non-residents and $48 for qualifying households) and transportation is available for a fee.

The Brazos County Commissioners Court unanimously ended the controversial Inner Loop East project during Tuesday’s meeting after residents raised concerns about property impacts—canceling the eleven million dollar study and the twenty mile roadway proposal.
