- ➤ College Station approved over $500,000 to replace playground equipment and swing sets at Castlegate, Merry Oaks and Southern Oaks parks because the current equipment is nearly 20 years old. The new equipment is expected to be installed before summer 2026 — this upgrade will offer safer spaces for local families. KXXV
