College Station ISD's board approved nearly $237,000 in federal funds for professional development for teachers and staff last Tuesday—using the resources to enhance training programs.

College Station City Council voted 5-1 last week to end the Veterans Park baseball project—shifting plans to a Midtown baseball complex that will feature public-private discussions and reclaim extra land for business use.

Council will receive an update on the project at the meeting on November 13.
