🎓 Education
On Sept. 16, Gov. Abbott announced a 13-member Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board tasked with designing affordable three-year bachelor’s degree pathways—Assistant Vice Chancellor Stacey Silverman represents Texas A&M University System on the board.
The move aims to reduce college costs and expand higher education access for low-income students.
🏥 Health
Texas A&M researchers developed a promising new nanoflower treatment that protects cells from the toxic buildup linked to Parkinson’s disease (early tests on cells and worms showed good results).
The team will soon test the treatment on mice to check if it reaches the brain and boosts cell energy.
