  • Texas A&M Corps announced that Reveille IX died Saturday from pneumonia complications—details confirm the loss of a cherished symbol in Aggieland.  The Eagle

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Texas A&M University's Commandant for the Corps of Cadets said Reveille IX passed away Saturday from pneumonia complications after serving as the official mascot from May 2015 until her retirement in April 2021. Veterinary care was provided by Sevenson Companion Animal Life-Care Center and Texas A&M Small Animal Teaching Hospital—funeral details will be shared later.  KXXV

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Brazos County Judge Duane Peters, who has served for 32 years since starting as a constable in 1993 and later as commissioner before becoming judge in 2011, announced he will not run for re-election and appointed Kyle Kacal to handle his duties during his three-month absence—he said he is working to return to the office and thanked residents for their prayers.  KXXV
