BUSINESS NEWS

  • A Starbucks at the corner of Lodge Street and University in Northgate District is closing its doors by the end of this week after posting a notice for customers. Starbucks has offered transfers to nearby locations—CEO Brian Niccol explained the closure follows a review of stores that did not meet financial or physical standards.  KXXV

EDUCATION NEWS

  • James Earl Rudder High School's Floral Practicum class planned and hung three 'Mega Mums' in the rotunda for a homecoming display on Friday—crediting several organizations for their help.  KXXV
  • Texas A&M Student Senate met on Sept. 17 and passed resolutions supporting former President Welsh plus honoring Charlie Kirk for his impact on campus. Student Body President Mallory urged peers to attend the College Station City Council meeting on Sept. 30 to discuss overnight parking and share feedback.  The Battalion

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The Texas A&M Board of Regents voted on Friday to allow Chancellor Glenn Hegar to complete the separation agreement with former President Welsh—this decision follows the board's review of the plan.  The Eagle
