Residents in the Pebble Creek neighborhood oppose a plan to expand Pebble Creek Parkway to four lanes and extend it south because they worry about increased traffic and safety changes—over 1,000 have signed a petition urging the City Council to explore alternatives, and city officials say no project has been approved yet and will review the plan at the Sept. 25 meeting.
After voters approved funding for a new fire station in 2022, College Station Fire Chief Richard Mann ordered a fire truck—stressing that timing and proper amenities are essential for the project's progress.
