On Thursday, College Station City Council approved removing on-street parking from several streets and repealing the occupancy ordinance that limited unrelated residents in single-family homes.
The council set a public hearing for August 28 to consider lowering the current tax rate.
U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins announced a $750 million project to build a fly facility about 20 miles from the southern border to stop the New World Screwworm that threatens our cattle industry and food prices.
A Texas A&M expert said the facility will produce sterile flies that do not breed—adding up to $100 million in new tools to fight the pest.
