Texas A&M's Veterinary Emergency Team ended a 23-day deployment in the Texas Hill Country that helped flood recovery efforts by caring for search and rescue dogs—treating nearly 100 dogs daily during peak times and giving its veterinary students valuable field experience.

Brazos Valley law enforcement agencies have added a new armored Lenco BearCat Rescue Vehicle to their fleet — the vehicle will be shared by College Station Police Department, Texas A&M University Police, Bryan Police Department and Brazos County Sheriff's Office to help teams respond faster and safer in critical situations.
