A Bryan woman was sentenced to 15 years in prison for biting a police officer during an investigation in August 2021—she now faces a lengthy term for the incident.

TxDOT will begin construction this December on State Highway 6 in Bryan-College Station to widen the highway to three lanes in both directions and add shared use paths for pedestrians and cyclists along a 12 mile stretch from State Highway 21 to State Highway 40.

The project is expected to take four to five years and will include work to improve frontage roads while keeping two main lanes open most of the time — TxDOT said — with traffic updates posted online.
