Health officials in Brazos County confirmed the first positive mosquito sample for West Nile virus in the 77845 zip code and are increasing traps to check for more virus activity.
They urged residents to follow the Four D's (avoid peak mosquito times, dress in long sleeves and pants, use repellent with DEET, and drain standing water) to protect themselves.

Texas A&M wide receiver KC Concepcion is on the preseason Paul Hornung Award watch list as he joined the Aggies this spring.
He was named ACC Rookie of the Year at NC State after catching 124 passes and scoring 16 touchdowns.
