A Bryan man was sentenced to 40 years in prison today after a Brazos County jury found him guilty of possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine near a daycare facility.

The Highway Construction Workforce Partnership at Texas A&M Transportation Institute recently graduated its fourth group of students who learned needed skills in road building as demand grows; organizers plan to pause enrollment this fall and spring to review funding so the program can become fee-based while staying affordable. This program helps students prepare for careers in highway construction and supports the state’s growth in roadwork.

Texas A&M’s rough collie mascot Reveille X had her right eye removed to relieve painful glaucoma—abnormal tissue was found during the 40-minute surgery and lab results are expected in one to two weeks.

She is expected to recover within a few weeks so the team can soon decide on her future as the First Lady of Aggieland.
