ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • The northbound exit ramp on the 1600 block of North Harvey Mitchell Parkway leading to Highway 21 is closed indefinitely after a sinkhole was found. The Texas Department of Transportation is assessing repairs—drivers are advised to use alternate routes.  KXXV

CRIME NEWS

  • A Bryan man named Olajuwon Mason was sentenced Friday to 90 years for violent crimes including domestic assault and unlawful gun possession—he fled after a 2022 attack, was caught in January, and lifetime protective orders were issued to protect his ex-girlfriend and her sister.  KXXV

EDUCATION NEWS

  • The Bryan ISD Board of Trustees reviewed plans for a potential $400 million bond during a special meeting Monday afternoon—if approved, the district will decide whether to move forward this fall.  The Eagle
