Texas A&M VP Joe Elabd said four small modular nuclear reactors proposed for construction at the RELLIS campus will produce 1 gigawatt of clean electricity using non-meltdown technology—safer than older reactors.
The project involves Kairos Power, Natura Resources, Terrestrial Energy and Aalo Atomics and may bring thousands of jobs as the campus plans to buy extra land to meet growing demand.
