A Bryan man pleaded guilty to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and unlawful firearm possession by a felon—he will spend 40 years in jail.

At its tenth meeting on Monday, the Faculty Senate discussed concerns after 23 Texas A&M international students had their visas revoked.
Faculty said the university helped students by connecting them with immigration lawyers and law professors (with updates from Provost Alan Sams) as they faced travel and reentry issues.

Senator Paul Bettencourt sent a letter to College Station City Hall on Tuesday raising concerns that the city’s housing enforcement policies may violate state law by allowing citizens to use parked car photos to support occupancy violations — he requested records such as civil citations and body camera footage. City officials clarified that they do not accept such evidence and are gathering the requested records to explain their practices.
