A new playground now open at Copperfield Park in Bryan draws parents' concern about missing shade to protect kids from the summer heat — city officials say budget limits delay adding the structure though future improvements are under review.

Yard Dogs baseball will begin its first season at Travis Field in Bryan on May 21 with $8 general admission tickets and recent renovations including a new speaker system and redone infield.
A special Breakfast at the Ballpark is scheduled for Apr. 14 to kick off the family-friendly season.
