- ➤ A Bryan man faces multiple felony charges after police discovered over three kilograms of cocaine in his apartment—found during a domestic disturbance investigation. The Eagle

- ➤ A College Station man was arrested Friday (allegedly for stabbing his girlfriend in the thumb and assaulting her) and he is now facing charges. The Eagle
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar was unanimously confirmed as the next chancellor of the Texas A&M University System. He will take over when Chancellor John Sharp retires on June 30—Hegar brings extensive experience in state finances to the role. KXXV
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Drivers turning right from Nash Street onto William J. Bryan Parkway faced a higher risk of accidents after 13 collisions occurred since April 2024, so the city of Bryan changed its rule to restrict right on red to boost safety for drivers making a u-turn (residents remain divided on the change). - ➤ Bryan, College Station and the Texas A&M University System have filed a lawsuit against Upwell Water to stop a plan to pump 89 million gallons per day from the Carrizo Wilcox Aquifer because they say the project will drain vital water supplies. The trial is set for the first week of May — local officials say delaying the pipeline is key to protecting the region's water for future growth. The Eagle
