A 20-year-old man from Bryan was sentenced to over two years in federal prison for transporting undocumented immigrants after he admitted that a co-conspirator contacted him on Instagram to pay him $2,000 per person — he had been previously convicted for burglary.

A federal judge held a motion hearing in Houston Tuesday over Texas A&M’s ban on drag shows and will rule before March 26 on whether the annual Draggieland competition can take place.
